Parenting Charter

We believe in gender equality, underpinned by genuine action and not just saying the right things in the media.

We regularly check in with our employees to make sure they are happy, and raise awareness among male Reversers to make sure they too can be ambassadors for the excellent balance that is created in a company when women enjoy fairness and equality rather than discrimination.

We want our experience to be an example and inspiration for other companies and for all workers, so that they look for the same experience in their own workplace.

We do not see work-life balance as a problem: we only have one life, and only one person is going to live it. The job of a company is to create value for the benefit of all stakeholders, knowing that fulfilled, well-rounded individuals make better professionals.

If somebody wants to find fulfilment in being a parent, the role of an employer is not to make this difficult. On the contrary, their job is to encourage it.

That is our commitment, and it is one that we are working on in four key areas:

Environment

In Reverse's world, individual wellbeing has always been a priority, and when an individual becomes a family, we need to pay even more attention to this. When it comes to family management, we are even more committed to these initiatives, which are already in place for all Reversers, so we continue to be a positive model for wellbeing.

  • The freedom of smart working: every Reverser can choose where to work, according to their own personal and professional needs
  • Flexible hours
  • Equal access to managerial roles
  • Equal pay
  • Internal career paths, from juniors to managers
  • Equal training, with a focus on tech
  • Relaxation room and treadmill room to promote physical wellbeing
  • Yoga and Pilates classes, as well as other gentle physical activities in the company's dedicated rooms

Information and prevention

Being a mum is a journey that starts early.

  • Meetings with experts when it comes to prevention and information about women's conditions and issues
  • Within the company welfare project, benefits, gift vouchers and reimbursements for expenses relating to preventing women's illnesses (preventive medical appointments, check-ups, tests etc.)
  • Seminars on preparing for parenthood
  • Mums Team: Reverser mums who wish to do so can offer their time and experience to colleagues (books, contacts, information material etc.) thanks to a dedicated shared platform.

Maternity

The stage in a woman's life that no company should be afraid of. We apply the Right to Disconnect: any initiative proposed during maternity leave is optional and can be personalised.

  • Sending personalised messages with company information and the highlights of key company activities during their absence
  • Meetings and messages designed to make sure they don't lose touch with colleagues
  • Meetings with their own manager for specific updates
  • Facilitating the return to work: re-onboarding and structured re-skilling to reintroduce them to work without any information gaps
  • Guarantee of equal work and structuring of a new career path with horizontal and cross-disciplinary mobility, based on the individual's new needs and in keeping with the company's needs
  • No exclusion from the incentive and pay rise plan

Family life

The birth of a child is just the start of a long journey. These initiatives are designed for all Reversers who are parents.

  • Counselling service and solutions put forward for specific problems
  • Seminars on parent-child relationships and parenting management
  • Parent Coaching support
  • Within the company welfare project, benefits, vouchers and reimbursement of expenses related to family management (school costs, babysitting, summer camps etc.)
  • Activities run by organisations specialising in children

You should never have to choose between your career and your family. That is a choice that nobody should be faced with. And any business owner, not so much out of kindness but rather for the good of the company, should want to be surrounded by well-rounded individuals, fulfilled professionals: if you force somebody to make that choice, defeat is guaranteed.

“ I am a Woman, a Manager, a Mum, a Wife, a Team Leader, a Friend, a Sportswoman, a Worker, a Reverser and much more... I believe that each of us is a universe of many tangled spheres: if we remove even one, we are incomplete. When I became a mum, this seemed even clearer to me, along with the concept of "balance over madness" that Vasco Rossi was probably talking about in his song, "Sally". I believe it is essential that we do not give up a part of ourselves that is as important as our work. Essential for my fulfilment and for the message that I would like to pass on to my two girls: that they can be anything they want. It can be exhausting to maintain a balance all the time, and it really helps to work for a company like Reverse, who believe in the wellbeing of their employees as a real vocation. One aspect of all the smart working: the way I can be flexible about organising my day, responsibly and freely, which gives me the peace of mind to tackle the other areas and inevitable unexpectedness of a parent's life. ”

Silvia Fiori, Delivery Manager

“ Every stage of my maternity experience has been wonderful. Starting with the announcement, which was a real celebration. That came from both the management and from my colleagues. It was a reaction I expected to be honest, having been here for several years. It was a totally natural experience for me, and after all, it is a natural part of life. Throughout my maternity leave, the watchword was Involvement. Starting with the colleagues who already had children. I always felt involved, not alienated by my obvious absence. From afar, of course, but I always had the chance to be part of all the significant events in company life, and there was always a great deal of flexibility. And then at last, the return to work, another incredibly positive experience. You are always seeking perfection, but you also need to learn to find the balance between internal and external "performance", and you can do so calmly, thanks to the support of colleagues and a working environment like ours. ”
